Tengrinews.kz – After a confident victory over Almaty’s Kairat, Real Madrid not only secured three points in the Champions League group standings but also earned a financial bonus.
The match, which ended in a 5:0 win for the Spanish giants, allowed Real Madrid to climb to second place in the Champions League standings. In addition, according to the Champions League regulations, the club will receive an extra €2.1 million for the group stage win.
Champions League 2025/2026 payouts
Each club that qualifies for the Champions League group stage is guaranteed to receive €18.62 million from UEFA.
Teams are also entitled to a share of advertising revenue, which varies depending on how much commercial value the club brings to the tournament.
For example, last year, Paris Saint-Germain was the leader in this category, while Slovan Bratislava and Sturm Graz received the lowest amount – €2.7 million.
Team performance is also separately rewarded:
Each win in the group stage earns the club €2.1 million.
Each draw earns €750,000.
Additionally, teams receive money based on their final position in the group stage standings — ranging from €275,000 to €9.9 million.
Further payouts are granted for reaching the playoffs, and winning at each subsequent stage, all the way to the final.
