Kairat won 3:2, with goals from the penalty spot scored by Aleksandr Martynovich, Ofri Arad, and Yegor Sorokin.

However, the main sensation of the match was Kazakh goalkeeper Temirlan Anarbekov, who kept a clean sheet throughout the game and then saved 3 penalties from the opposing team, denying Adam Idah, Luke McCowan, and Daizen Maeda. With this, Temirlan Anarbekov became the first Kazakh goalkeeper in history to save 3 penalties in a single match.
