Kazakhstan hockey club Barys won Saint-Petersburg’s SKA as part of Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season, Vesti.kz reports. Barys came from behind to beat SKA, as the match started unsuccessfully for Kazakhstan’s club. SKA scored 2:0 four minutes into the match thanks to Tony Martensson and Alexander Ossipov. Barys managed to regain strength and delivered three packs during ten minutes of the second period. Dustin Boyd, Nigel Dawes and Konstantin Pushkarev scored the goals. SKA hockey player Patrick Thoresen evened the score three minutes before the break. Kazakhstan’s Dmitry Upper delivered a puck and gave his team a lead in the beginning of the last twenty-minute period. Mikhail Rakhmonov assisted Maksim Spiridonov and the latter increased the lead at the 54th minute of the match. However, SKA scored a goal in response after one minute. Kazakhstan’s team managed to keep the advantage and the match ended with the score of 5:4 in favor of Barys hockey club.
