Hockey: Barys breaks contract with Jon Mirasty

Kazakhstan's Astana hockey club Barys has cancelled the contract with left winger Jon Mirasty of Canada, the official website of the club reports. The message also reads that the cancellation was by mutual consent. “The hockey player played 10 matches for the club and got 17 minutes of penalties. He scored one goal (0+1) in the goal plus pass system,” the press release reads. Mirasty started playing for Barys in 2012. He spent around three minutes on the ice in each match with zero efficiency. Earlier he was caped for Czech Vityaz for one season. The tough guy changed more than 10 hockey clubs over his professional career and participated in countless ice fights. Jon was one of the fighters of the greatest battle in the history of hockey in December 2009. He and his rival Jeremy Yablonski landed 115 blows in one minute. Barys hockey club's next match against the leader of the Championship Saint-Petersburg’s SKA club. The match took place in Kazakhstan. It was very successful for the Kazakhstan team. Barys won 5:4 over the KHL regular season champion.
