WBA (Super) and IBO middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin of Kazakhstan has improved his KO ration when defeating Australian boxer Daniel Geale, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

On July 27, the undefeated Kazakhatani boxer defended his WBA title for the 11th time. In the second round, Golovkin scored a knockdown. In the third round, Geale hit the canvas after Golovkin’s precise punch. The Australian boxer got up but could not continue the fight. The referee announced a TKO and Golovkin celebrated his 30th victory in the professional ring.

Now Golovkin has 27 KOs in 30 fights, all of them victories. With 90% of KOs Golovkin has the highest KO ratio among the current world champions and the best one in the history of the middleweight boxing. Golovkin has not let any of his opponents into the final round since 2008.

After defending his title this Saturday night, Golovkin declared that he wanted to fight against Miguel Cotto and Peter Quillin to unify middleweight titles.
