The undefeated boxer had three fights in 2014. The Mexican boxer Marco Antonio Rubio, the Aussie boxer Daniel Geale and Osumanu Adama from Ghana hit the canvas before the final round.
Roman Gonzalez from Nicaragua landed on the fifth place in the rating. The WBC and The Ring flyweight champion had four victorious fights this year. The Russian boxer Alexander Povetkin took the fourth place. Terence Crawford was named the third best boxer of the year. Manny Pacquiao took the second place after defeating Rimothy Bradley and Chris Algieri. The Russian boxer Sergey Kovalev was named the best boxer of the year. This year, Kovalev fought against Cendric Agnew, Blake Caparello and Bernard Hopkins.

Golovkin’s next fight is scheduled to February 21, 2015 in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The undefeated Kazakhstani will face Martin Murray.
