Gennady Golovkin, WBA and IBO middleweight champion from Kazakhstan, has debuted on Broadway in Rocky at Winter Garden Theatre, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Golovkin TKOs Geale in 3rd round

Golovkin, who is fighting against Australian Daniel Geale tomorrow, appeared on the stage as a middleweight world champion. Rocky the Musical, one of the most anticipated musicals of the year, was produced by Sylvester Stallone and Klichko brothers. The musical was directed by Alex Timber. Tony Awards nominee Andy Karl played Rocky Balboa.

 

Gennady Golovkin is fighting Daniel Geale, former two-time world champion, to defend his title on July 26 at Madison Square Garden. The fight will be streamed live in more than 100 countries. In Kazakhstan, Golovkin-Geale fight could be seen on Kazakhstan and KazSport channels.
