"Now I'm focused on a fight with Golovkin. He's the best middleweight in the world. I would like to fight him later this year or early next year," N'Jikam said.
The Cameroonian-born boxer lost his title belt in 2012 to undefeated fighter Peter Quillin from the USA. Despite being knocked down 6 times during the tough 12 rounds, N'Jikam got back on his feet every time and stood firm against the American boxer. The fight was his first defeat in the professional ring.
N'Jikam won his next two fights in Europe. His last fight took place on April 16th against IBO Super middleweight champion from Columbia Fulgencio Zuniga (26-8-1, 23 KO's).
After the fight, N'Jikam announced his readiness to fight Kazakhstani boxer Golovkin. Quillin too has once expressed desire to fight Golovkin but noted that he would do it only for a good pay.
In his last fight, Kazakhstani boxing star beat Osumanu Adama from Ghana. The next fight against Julio Ceasar Chavez Jr was scheduled for July 19th in the USA, but Chavez cancelled it days ago.
