Kazakhstan's figure skater Denis Ten - silver winner of the figure skating worlds - has decided to participate in the second stage of the Grand-Prix in Beijing, China in spite of a problem with his back, Vesti.kz reports. "Denis still experiences pain in his back, but despite this he decided to perform in Beijing," the State Figure Skating Coach of Kazakhstan Yury Guskov said. Denis was supposed to take part in the first Grand-Prix of the season - Skate of America - that was held in Detroit, but had to withdraw because he had injured his back and both of his ankles. He was not expected to participate in any of tournaments to make sure he recovers before the Olympics. But it looks like he has had a change of mind. Canadian Kevin Reynolds, Takahiko Kozuka from Japan, French Florent Amodio and Chinese Nan Song and Han Yan will perform in Beijing. The ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix in China will take place at the Beijing Capital Gymnasium on November 1-3. It is the third tournament out of six in the pre-Olympic season 2013/2014.
