The Captain of the Kazakhstan’s national team Daniyar Yeleussinov has been named the AIBA Best Boxer for the second time, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

The Captain of the Kazakhstan’s national team Daniyar Yeleussinov has been named the AIBA Best Boxer for the second time, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

At the last Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, the Kazakhstani boxer won his second gold in the welterweight category (-69kg). At the final bout of the Asian Games, Yeleussinov faced Israil Madrimov from Uzbekistan. The Kazakhstani won over his opponent by points in all three rounds.

The coach of the national boxing team Myrzagali Aitzhanov was also named AIBA Best Coach of the Year.

The award ceremony will take place during the 2014 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships in Jeju, South Korea on November 24. The Championship will take place from November 13 to 25.
