2014 Asian Cycling Championship (Road & Track) and 2015 Junior World Cycling Championship will be held in Astana, website of the President of Kazakhstan. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of International Cycling Union (UCI) and the member of International Olympic Committee (IOC) Pat McQuaid met recently about it in Astana. McQuaid awarded Nazarbayev with a gold International Cycling Union Lapel Pin and thanked him for his contribution into development of world cycling and support to Kazakhstan's Astana cycling team. He also mentioned Astana’s national Sary-Arka cycling track calling it one of the best modern sports site. The most important sport event, London Summer Olympic Games, is being held in the UK at present. Chinese shooter Yi Siling won the first gold in the 10m air rifle final at London 2012.
