The exciting and even more competitive 5th season of the World Series Boxing starts only on January 8, 2015. But in September, WSB fans will be treated a great spectacle – a match between the champions of the 3rd Season the Astana Arlans from Kazakhstan and the champions of the 4th Season the Cuba Domadores from Cuba.
The exciting and even more competitive 5th season of the World Series Boxing starts only on January 8, 2015. But in September, WSB fans will be treated a great spectacle – a match between the champions of the 3rd Season the Astana Arlans from Kazakhstan and the champions of the 4th Season the Cuba Domadores from Cuba.
The fight between the champs will take place on September 9 and 10 in Astana.
“A match between these two titans of the WSB is greatly welcomed by all involved. We are extremely proud of the two sides that have had the initiative to arrange such a momentous occasion,” WSB Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Karim Bouzidi said.
The exhibition fight is organized by the Astana Arlans team. There will be 5 bouts every day, like during a regular season. Overall, the Wolves and Cuban Tamers will compete in 10 weight categories. The list of boxers participating in the fights has not been revealed yet.
In the upcoming 5th Season, the Kazakh Wolves will be fighting for the championship title and a chance to participate in the Rio Olympic Games in Group B along with Argentina Condors (Argentina), Venezuela (Venezuela), USA KnocKouts (USA), Italia Thunder (Italy), Azerbaijan Baku Fires (Azerbaijan), Poland Hussars (Poland), and one more team that will be announced later.
The Astana Arlans lost 4:6 to the Baku Fires from Azerbaijan in the semifinals of the season 4. In the finals, the Cuba Domadores, debutants of in WSB, won the Azeri Baku Fires.
