WBA Light middleweight Cuban Eryslandy Lara (19-1-2, 12 KO) has challenged Gennady “GGG” Golovkin who happens to be looking for an opponent for his upcoming fight in April at Madison Square Garden, Tengrinewsreports citing Vesti.kz. “How about you @gggboxing me fight anytime!” Lara tweeted. The southpaw Cuban won his last fight against Austin Trout on December 7, 2013. Curtis Stevens (26-4, 2 KO) learned his lesson for challenging Golovkin on his tweeter with RIP GGG photos when he lost back in November with an RTD. Golovkin’s next fight is scheduled to April 26. The name of the opponent to fight GGG has not been unveiled yet. Many believe that Andy Lee (31-2, 22 KO) is the most probable candidate as Daniel Geale and James Kirkland are both out. Golovkin’s last fight was on February 2 in Monte Carlo where the unstoppable Kazakh boxer took down Osumanu Adama with a TKO. The next fight will mark Golovkin’s 30th fight in his unbeaten professional boxing career.
