A boxer of Argentina Condors had to take off his underwear during the weighing for the WSB play-off match against Astana Arlans of Kazakhstan, Vesti.kz reports. Light heavyweight boxer from the Argentinean team Facundo Simal turned out to be 500 grams heavier that he was supposed to be for the fight. “According to WSB rules, he should be scored defeat in such case. According to the rules if a sportsman weights 500 grams or more in excess, the sportsman is not admitted to the fight. But if the overweight is less than 500 grams, he can be admitted. After a small discussion of the teams representatives with the fight’s senior supervisor Muhammad Mustahsan, Simal was allowed to weigh-in once again without his underwear on. This is allowed by WSB rules,” the website writes. The boxer asked all the women to leave the hall and the organizers held a bedsheet in front of him during the weighing. If taking off the underwear did not help the sportsman, he would have had to shave his head. However, the second weighing showed the overweight of 450 grams and Simal was allowed to the fight against Iranian legionnaire of Astana team Ekhsan Ruzbahani. The match between Argentina Condors and Astana Arlans will be held on March 29 at 07:00 p.m. in Almaty Towers building.
