Winner of the London Olympic Games, Kazakhstan boxer Serik Sapiyev will probably continue his career in Astana Arlans professional boxing club, Sport.kz reports.
“I am thinking about it now. At present I am recovering after the Olympic Games. It is possible that I will become one of Astana Arlans fighters”, the prominent Kazakhstan boxer said. He visited a boxing bout between Astana Arlans and USA Knockouts, where Kazakhstan boxing club whitewashed the American fighters in the World Series of Boxing (WSB) match.
When asked if there was a possibility that the boxer became captain of the team as soon as he joined Astana Arlans, the champion answered that he “doesn’t rule out this course of events”.
Earlier the Kazakhstan holder of Val Barker Trophy Serik Sapiyev said that he might become a public officer in case he retired from boxing in order “to work for the benefit of the country”.
