The next rival of the WBA middleweight World Champion from Kazakhstan Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin has been unveiled, Vesti.kz reports. Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin will fight his next bout against Osumanu Adama, a 32-y.o. boxer from Ghana, on February 1 in Monte-Carlo. Osumamu Adama is a professional middleweight boxer, who currently lives in the United States. He had 25 fights, won 22 out of them and lost 3. He ended 16 of his bouts with KOs. Ghana's boxer contested Golovkin's title twice, but failed both times. Adama turned pro in 2001, racking up seventeen wins in Ghana between 2001-2010. He lost his first two bouts in the United States in August 2009 and April 2010 at super middleweight and light heavyweight. On December 17, 2010, at UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Adama won his first title, the vacant IBO international middleweight champion title, in a twelve round unanimous decision over another contender Angel Hernandez. This made him the first middleweight titleholder ever from Ghana. After staying away from the ring for over a year, Adama won a split decision in ten rounds over Grady Brewer in March 2013, and is currently ranked 16th in the world by BoxRec. Gennady won over American boxer Curtis Stevens and retained his WBA world middleweight title in his last fight on November 2 in the United States.
