Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer says that the trainer of WBA and IBO middleweight champion from Kazakhstan Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (27-0, 24KOs) Abel Sanchez overestimates the ratings of his boxer, Vesti.kz reports. Schaefer said this in response to Sanchez's critics of the WBO middleweight champion Peter Quillin (29-0, 21KOs) and WBA middleweight champion Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs). Earlier, Sanchez said that Quillin's promoters were afraid to arrange a bout against Golovkin. "Golovkin might be fighting main events on HBO but he is responsible for the lowest ratings on HBO every time he fights. Abel Sanchez might be a decent trainer but over than he has no clue on what he is talking about. Golovkin might be fighting at Madison Square Garden, but Abel should read the fine print... it’s the Theater. Andre Ward and Peter Quillin both have graduated to bigger places because the draw bigger crowds. I respect Golovkin as fighter, Abel Sanchez as a trainer and Tom Loeffler as the promoter. But Abel should not get too carried away. Even though he lives up on Big Bear mountain he is far from the top," Schaefer told BoxingScene.com. Earlier, the trainer of Andre Ward Virgil Hunter was very surprised when he saw the recent story at BoxingScene.com where Sanchez was critical to Ward's decisions with HBO regarding the opponent for his next televised appearance. “Abel Sanchez should really humble himself and be humble that he has a horse that who can run. He should try to respectfully stay out of other peoples' lane,” Hunter said. Gennady Golovkin nicknamed "GGG" or "Kazakh KO King" will make the next defence of his WBA and IBO middleweight titles against Curtis Stevens at Madison Square Garden on November 2.
