Cuban boxer Erislandy Lara has challenged the famous boxer Gennady Golovkin from Kazakhstan, Vesti.kz reports. Replying to his fans in Twitter, the welterweight WBA interim world champion Erislandy Lara, 30, posted that Golovkin was the boxer he wanted to face as his next rival. Lara added that Golovkin's team had not responded to his challenge. Lara held his last bout on June 6 at the Carson city, California, USA. He gained the interim middleweight WBA world champion by winning over the Mexican boxer Alfredo Angulo, 30, with a TKO in the 10th round. The next fight of Lara is scheduled for December 7 in Las Vegas against the ex-world champion American Austin Trout. Kazakhstan's Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, 31, the current WBA world champion, has been successfully fighting at the professional ring since his debut as a professional in 2006. He has 28 victories out of 28 fights and ended 25 of them with a KO. In his last bout Gennady won over American boxer Curtis Stevens and retained his WBA world middleweight title on November 2. His next fight is scheduled for February 1 in Monte Carlo.
