New members of the World Series of Boxing Commission have been announced, Vesti.kz reports. Based on the International Boxing Association (AIBA) Statutes and Bylaws, AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu appointed a full new WSB Commission of five members. Champion of the Athens Olympics and the current head of Astana Presidential Professional Sports Club Bakhtiyar Artayev of Kazakhstan was included into the WBS Commission, the official website of AIBA reports. Besides Artayev, Rizvan Genzhiyev from Azerbaijan, Cuban Alberto Puig de la Barca, John Dovi of France and Anthony Bartkowski from the United States also entered the commission. Osvaldo Bisbal from Argentina is the Chairman of the WSB Commission, Maxim Shabarin of Russia is the Vice Chairman and Argentinian Hernán Salvo was appointed Secretary of the commission. The current WSB Champion, the Astana Arlans from Kazakhstan, faced Azerbaijan’s Baku Fires in the first series of matches of the new WSB season at Almaty Towers on November 15. The Kazakhstan team won 4:1.
