Kazakhstani two times Olympic silver medalist Adilbek Niyazymbetov has won a silver medal at the Chemistry Cup 2014 in Halle, Germany, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Kazakhstani two times Olympic silver medalist Adilbek Niyazymbetov has won a silver medal at the Chemistry Cup 2014 in Halle, Germany, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

In the final bout, the Kazakh light heavyweight boxer lost to a World Championship bronze medalist Joe Ward from Ireland 1:2.

The Kazakhstani team won one gold and three silver medals at the 41st edition of the Chemistry Cup. Ilyas Suleimenov who debuted in WSB this year with the Astana Arlans team won the gold medal in the flyweight category (- 52 kg). Another Arlan Temirtas Zhusupov (- 49 kg) and Berik Abdrakhmatov won silver medals.

All in all, 106 boxers from 17 countries took part in the German championship.
