Kazakhstani boxer Birzhan Zhakypov has won a Brazilian fighter Patrick Lourenco at the AIBA Pro Boxing (APG), Tengrinews reports.

The AIBA Pro Boxing (APB) Inaugural Title Match  took place in Hong Kong. Zhakypov competed in the light flyweight category (-49 kg). The Kazakhstani World Champion won his Brazilian opponent with 3:0 (58:56, 58:56, 58:56).

Zakypov retained his chances to get a pass to the Rio Olympics in 2016. In the following second season the Kazakhstani has to get into the finals to win the Olympic license.

Earlier, Berik Abdrakhmanov competing in the lightweight division (-60 kg) won his Olympic ticket in a fight against the Uzbek boxer Hurshid Tojibaev.
