Spanish Barcelona Football Club coaches shared tricks of the trade and gave several advices to Almaty juniors who took part in Spanish Mediterranean International Cup, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Vitally Malygin, Almaty Junior football team coach. “I can't say that Spanish coaches opened something fundamentally new for us in the training process. But it is worth mentioning that Spaniards are stronger than we are individually. They pay more attention to controlling the ball and developing their personal technical skills. However we were no worse than Barcelona juniors in terms of determination and team tactics,” Malygin said. Speaking to Kazakhstan team's coach during one of the matches Barcelona coach said that Kazakh players were hurrying to score a goal too much, whereas Spanish juniors hurried to keep the ball. Our players wished to distinguish themselves and this desire usually prevailed over the common sense. This was the individual tactics that needed improving,” the coach added. Almaty juniors (up to 14) took part in the Mediterranean International Cup for the first time. Kazakhstan team lost two matches out of three, however, our juniors gained a priceless experience according to the coaches. Almaty Physical Education and Sport Department head Khairbolat Khaidarov said that this was not the last time when football junior players took part in the Cup. The Department will allocate funds for these trips in future.
