Astana cycling team will buy two world famous cyclists, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Cycling Federation. “We are currently negotiating with these cyclists. They will be officially introduced in August,” the Cycling Federation's press-secretary Tatyana Bendz said. According to the rules of the International Cycling Union (UCI), their names are not disclosed yet. It is known that these sportsmen are in the top five UCI cyclists list. Besides, Managing Director of Samruk-Kazyna Kazakhstan’s Sovereign Wealth Fund Darkhan Kaletayev did not preclude the possibility of return of the team's former member Alberto Kontador from Spain. Currently Astana is taking part in a multi-day Criterium du Dauphine race held in France. Aleksandr Vinokurov (Astana) was the second in 5.4-km Prologue race being just a few seconds behind Lars Boom from Rabobank.
