Kazakhstan cycling team Astana has kicked off in Race of Two Seas, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to Sports.kz The Italian marathon cycling race between the cities of Tirreno and Adriatico will finish on March 13. Experts consider Kazakhstan team one of the strongest participants of the race. “The first stage team race with staggered start should do good for us, we need to keep our mind on achieving a good result and minimize our retard from other top-ranked teams. But we will try to grip the lead later on. The most difficult mountainous stages are the strong points of our racers,” Dmitry Sedoun, Astana team's captain said. He also said that Astana team competes with a strong squad. Roman Kreuziger, Maksim Iglinskiy, Borut Bozic, Enrico Gasparotto, Fredrik Kessiakoff, Paolo Tiralongo, Simone Ponzi and Dmitry Muravyov are taking part in the race.
