Kazakhstan cycling team Astana signed a two-year contract with Slovenian cyclist Borut Bozic, SiOL Portal writes. He used to cycle for Perutnino, Team LPR, Cycle Collstrop and Vacansoleil. He has won races 34 times. “Astana is very interested in me. I thought of it as a good option for me. I didn’t have much success at Tour de France cycling for my previous team, that’s why we decided to terminate the contract. I am sure that moving to Astana is a step forward in my career,” Bozic commented his transfer to Kazakhstan team. Bozic has been successful at Tour of Spain, Switzerland, Belgium and Poland. He was the third Slovenian in the history of Astana after Jani Brajkovic and Gorazd Stangeli. There is no information about the contract with Bozic on the team’s official website yet. The latest transfer of Kazakhstan cyclists was Andrei Kashechkin. The team was counting on him in Vuelta a Espana. However, Kazakhstan cyclist was ranked 89th losing 54 minutes and 57 seconds to the winner Juan Jose Cobo in the general classification of the Spanish race that finished on September 11.
