Astana Arlans to move to Almaty

Kazakhstan Astana Arlans Boxing Club will leave Astana and move to Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Vesti.kz. The team has signed a contract with a sport base situated in Baiterek village (Novo-Alekseyevka Sport Center) near Almaty. The club will hold training camps at the base all year round. Moreover, the Club is going to arrange fights in Almaty in future. “Everything would depend on the schedule of the fights and the third season drawing,” Bolat Mankenov, Astana Arlans General Manager, commented the choice of place for future matches. “We are considering this issue at present and it is very important for us. I would like to mention that we won’t deprive the capital of Kazakhstan of Astana Arlans fights.”The World Series Boxing drawing procedure is scheduled for the mid of September. The season will kick off in the mid of November. Argentina, Poland and Ukraine have joined the third season of the WSB project.
