Kazakhstan's arm wrestler Zhanaly Khassanov from the southern city of Shymkent has become the ten-time Asian champion after winning the 2013 Open Asian Armwrestling Cup, held in Taraz, South Kazakhstan, Otyrar.kz reports. "The best wrestlers gathered for the Asian tournament. Kazakhstan's national team was the best at the Asian Cup, and now we are preparing for the World Championship," Zhanaly said. National teams of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Japan, Ukraine, Greece, Bulgaria and Lithuania took part in the Asia Cup. "I think, this time our preparations and trainings were on a very high level, the result is obvious. Zhanaly didn't even feel any of his rivals, and won the finals with little effort," his trainer Sergey Rashitov said. The national team will be formed based on the results of the continental contest. The team will compete for awards at the 35th World Armwrestling Championship that will be held in Gdynia, Poland on September 1-8, 2013.
