Almaty to host Arm Wrestling World Championship

Almaty will host Arm Wrestling World Championship on Novemeber, 28 – December, 4 this year, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Interfax-Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan arm wrestlers came third in the overall ranking at Poland World Cup that finished on October 16. Sportsmen from twenty two countries participated in the tournament. Kazakhstan national team won two gold medals, one silver and two bronze medals. Magomed Dzhussupov, three-time world champion and Honored Master of Sports from Taraz won in 63 kilos weight league. Alexandr Getallo from Talgar (Almaty oblast) got silver in left hand category in 86 kilos weight league. He yielded the victory to multiple-time world champion Rustam Babev from Ukraine. Dmitry Trubin, world champion from Taraz, also showed a good result. He won bronze in left hand category in 95 kilos weight league. Medet Orazbekov from Shardar (South Kazakhstan region) won in left hand 63 kilos weight league and Yelena Lyssova from Talgar won in women category in left hand 65 kilos weight league. They both ended up in the fourth place.
