Akim of East-Kazakhstan oblast gave a cabriolet to Olga Rypakova

Akim (Governor) of East-Kazakhstan oblast Berdybek Saparbayev gave a cabriolet to Kazakhstan's Olympic champion in triple jump Olga Rypakova, Sports.kz reports.Saparbayev arranged a chartered flight to bring Rypakova back to Ust-Kamenogorsk. The sportswoman was met by hundreds of citizens with flowers and a new cabriolet. This was the gift that was promised to Olga by Akim if she wins a gold medal. The promise was kept.The modest young woman was looking around in surprise when she was walking through a corridor of people with flowers: the citizens were yelling her name, congratulating her and giving her flowers. “There are so many people here, so much attention. I am very surprised and unbelievably happy,” the champion said.“I think that Olga has a lot ahead of her,” Berdybek Saparbayev said. “I am confident that she will become a two-time Olympic winner and will bring many more victories to Kazakhstan.”
