AIBA president thanked Kulibayev for contiributing into world boxing development

AIBA president Wu Ching-kuo thanked Kazakhstan Boxing Federation president Timur Kulibayev and the government of Kazakhstan for their input into development of world boxing, Tengrinews.kz reports. “The International Boxing Academy will be opened in Kazakhstan next year and it will become a unique institution in the world. This is an enormous contribution to the world boxing. Kulibayev’s appointment as AIBA vice-president will add an additional potential and strengthen the whole organization. We are grateful to Kulibayev for this role in AIBA's executive committee. We are happy to welcome such a man in our family,” Wu Ching-kuo said at the ceremony of agreement signing in Astana. The parties agreed to hold 2013 World Boxing Championship in Astana. Kulibayev was unanimously appointed AIBA (International Boxing Association) and APB (AIBA Professional Boxing) Vice-President at the first meeting of Professional Boxing executive bureau on March 21, 2012, in AIBA headquarters in Switzerland.
