Kazakhstan Automotorsport Federation has suggested to the organizers of Africa Eco Race 2013 to arrange a similar race in Kazakhstan,

Marat Abykayev, president of Kazakhstan Automotorsport Federation, took the initiative and suggested this to Jean-Louis Schlesser, who is the leader, owner and organizer of Africa Eco Race 2013. Schlesser took a great interest in this offer. The parties agreed to continue detailed negotiations after the finish of African rally raid.

It was a race’s day-off on January 3 and on January 4 the participants covered 574 kilometers of the sixth stage from Dakhla to Chami.
Jean-Louis Schlesser – 64-y.o. French racing driver, participant of numerous Formula One World Championships and other car racing competitions, is also known as
Desert Fox. He is a two-time world sports car racing champion and two-time winner of
Paris-Dakar rally.
