WBA(Super) and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin of Kazakhstan has been named the Fighter of the Month by the World Boxing Association for TKOing Australia’s Daniel Geale in the third round, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

WBA(Super) and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin of Kazakhstan has been named the Fighter of the Month by the World Boxing Association for TKOing Australia’s Daniel Geale in the third round, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Golovkin defended in championship title against Geale at the Madison Square Garden on July 26. The fight marked the 30 victory of the undefeated Kazakhstani boxer.

He also raised his KO ratio to 90% by defeating Geale, and achieved the highest KO ratio among the current world champions and the best one in the history of the middleweight boxing. GGG is expected to fight again in two or three month. His next opponent is not yet known.
