Tengrinews.kz – Traffic in Astana will be restricted around the Astana Arena during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Kazakhstan and Wales, the city administration announced.

According to the akimat, vehicle access will be limited several hours before kickoff near the Ice Palace “Alau” and the Saryarka velodrome to ensure safety and convenience for spectators.

Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and expect delays.

Kazakhstan has won only one game in the qualifiers so far – against Liechtenstein. The team, coached by Ali Aliyev, previously lost to Wales (1:3) away and North Macedonia (0:1) at home.

The match will take place on September 4 at 19:00 local time.
