Sesil Karatantcheva won the ITF Phoenix Tournament

Kazakhstan tennis professional Sesil Karatantcheva became the leader of International Tennis Federation Phoenix Tournament, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to the official WTA website.

Karatantcheva won the U.S. ITF Phoenix Tournament with the prize money of $75, 000 last week. She is the leader of the rating with the result of 110 points. Portuguese Michelle Larcher de Brito became second. Australian Bojana Bobusic, American Madison Keys, Mandy Minella from Luxembourg and Ukrainian Lesya Tsurenko are in the third place.

The ITF Phoenix Tournament in the U.S. was the first on of the ITF Women's Circuit of this season. As a result of the Circuit eight strongest tennis professionals will meet in the end of the year in the final tournament. Petra Kvitova, Vera Zvonareva, Caroline Wozniacki, Agnieszka Radwanska, Maria Sharapova, Samanta Stosur, Vikotoria Azarenko and Na Li became the best eight professional players of this season. Petra Kvitova won the final tournament of this season. She won over Viktoria Azarenko 7:5, 4:6, 6:3.

The 2011 ITF Women's Circuit is the 2011 edition of the second tier tour for women's professional tennis. It is organized by the International Tennis Federation and is a tier below the WTA Tour. The ITF Women's Circuit includes tournaments with prize money ranging from $10,000 up to $100,000.
