Kazakhstan national boxing team has won the first place at the 27th edition of the Men's Asian Amateur Boxing Championship by earning 7 gold and 1 silver medals, Vesti.kz reports.

Kazakhstan's Temirtas Zhusupov (-49kg), Berik Abdrahmanov (-60kg), Merey Akshalov (-64kg), Daniyar Yeleussinov (-69kg), Zhanibek Alimkhanuly (-75kg), Anton Pinchuk (-91kg) and Ivan Dychko (+91kg) became Asian champions. Adilbek Niyazymbetov (-81kg) took silver for the Kazakhstan national team.

The final bout between Dychko and Izzatulla Ergashev from Uzbekistan was interrupted by overly excited supporters of Jordan boxers. They were disappointed because in the previous fight the jury gave the victory to Kazakhstan's boxer Pinchuk, who won over Jordan’s Ihab Al-Matbouli.

The championship was held on July 1-8, 2013 in Amman, Jordan.
