Eight-year-old Kazakhstani hokkey players won bronze at the competition in Belarus. Tengrinews.kz reports citing press service of Department of Tourism, Physical Culture and Sport of Astana. Sportsmen from Russia, Ukraine and Latvia also participated in the competition besides Kazakhstan and the home teams. As a result during the competition Barys lost only one game to Moscow team Jastreby that eventually won the tournament. Two matches of the Kazakhstan team ended up with a draw score of 4:4 and than Barys won twice over Latvian Metallurg with the score of 5:0 and Ukrainian Sokol with the score of 5:1. The junior Kazakhstan team played against Vitebsk team in the bronze medal match and successfully won with 4:3. Medet Saparbek from Barys was named the best defender of the championship.
