In the statement, it was noted that "President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a telegram of congratulations to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the occasion of his birthday."
Vladimir Putin celebrates his 72nd birthday on October 7. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian president, stated that Putin "is not particularly fond of heightened interest in his family and does not see his birthday as a reason for increased personal attention, rather than to his work." However, "he has his own family - children and grandchildren - who sincerely congratulate him on holidays".
This marks Putin's 20th birthday celebration since assuming the presidency. According to Peskov, in the evening of October 7, Putin will engage in informal discussions with the heads of state and government from the CIS countries.
