President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the European Union – Central Asia summit and the international conference Central Asia in the face of global climate threats.
At the airport, the Head of our State was met by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
Earlier it was reported that on April 3-4, at the invitation of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit Uzbekistan on a working visit.

According to Akorda, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will hold meetings in Samarkand with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
On March 29, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit. He was met at the Almaty airport by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Afterwards, the presidents inspected the Almaty ski cluster and viewed a photo exhibition about the history of the high-mountain skating rink. The heads of state were presented with a project for a new stage of Medeu development aimed at creating a world-class center with a sustainable tourism model.
Then the presidents of the two countries held an informal meeting. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly appreciated Shavkat Mirziyoyev's personal contribution to bringing the fraternal peoples closer together and promoting the common goals of ensuring sustainable and safe development of the region.
The interlocutors discussed in detail the prospects for cooperation in the political, trade and economic, transport and transit, investment, energy and water spheres, as well as in industrial cooperation and tourism. Particular attention was paid to the development of cultural and humanitarian contacts.
