President of Kazakhstan meets Rustam Emomali

Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Rustam Emomali, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the Head of State and Rustam Emomali discussed the prospects for developing the Kazakh-Tajik strategic partnership and alliance, particularly in the context of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.

Tokayev praised the steady progress in bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of Emomali’s visit in further enhancing relations between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

The Speaker of the Upper Chamber of the Tajik Parliament thanked the Kazakh leader for the warm reception and conveyed greetings from President Emomali Rahmon.

Rustam Emomali stressed that Kazakhstan is a reliable strategic partner and ally of Tajikistan. He congratulated Tokayev on the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan and highlighted that the parliaments of the two countries are working together constructively for the benefit of their peoples.

The parties also discussed pressing issues of trade and economic cooperation, the water sector, and inter-parliamentary diplomacy, expressing satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations, built on friendship and mutual support.

Earlier, President Tokayev received the Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Han Chunlin.
