Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will establish a joint company to repair and modernize armored vehicles of Kyrgyz army, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kyrgyzstan Defense Ministry's press-service. The company will be founded by Kyrgyzkural state company under Kyrgyzstan Defense Ministry and Kazakhstan company Technoexport. Creation of own production and technical facilities, training of employees, creation of jobs, additional tax payments into the state budget and attraction of direct foreign investments into the Kyrgyz economy are viewed as the main economic benefits of the project. This is the first joint project in repair and modernization of armored and military vehicles of Kyrgyz army. Kyrgyzkural state company was established by Kyrgyzstan government decree in June 2009 for army re-equipment and military-economic provision of the country's armed forces. March 17, 2011 Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Defense Ministers signed an agreement on voluntary military support.
