In Kazakhstan, the holidays will last from January 1 to 4, thanks to the rescheduling of the January 3 workday to Sunday, January 5.
Russia
Russians will enjoy the longest New Year holidays—8 days in total, from January 1 to 8.
Kyrgyzstan
Residents of Kyrgyzstan will have a week-long break, from January 1 to 7.
Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan
In Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, the New Year holidays are shorter, lasting only two days—January 1 and 2. January 7 is not recognized as a public holiday in Azerbaijan.
Turkmenistan
Turkmenistan will celebrate the New Year with just one day off on January 1, with no additional holidays.
China
In China, January 1 is the only public holiday for the Gregorian New Year. However, for the Chinese New Year, citizens will enjoy a week-long holiday from January 28 to February 4.
