Tengrinews.kz - Azerbaijani experts will participate directly in decoding the black boxes from the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed near Aktau, according to the Azerbaijani news outlet Trend.
The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan stated that the transportation and decoding process at Brazil’s Aviation Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA) will involve the direct supervision and participation of Azerbaijani specialists. Additionally, international experts in aviation safety, engaged by Azerbaijan, will contribute to the process.
"This step aims to eliminate potential doubts about the objectivity of the investigations and enhance international trust in the findings," the Azerbaijani ministry noted.
Previously, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport announced its decision to send the black boxes to CENIPA for analysis.
"In accordance with Annex 13 of the Chicago Convention, the state conducting the investigation ensures the decoding of flight recorders and determines the country to carry out the decoding and analysis," the ministry stated.
Political analyst Gaziz Abishev commented on the decision, describing it as "a principled step aimed at neutralizing pressure and ensuring an impartial decryption that inspires trust within the international community."
