Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit Ashgabat on December 11–12 to participate in a forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, according to Akorda.
Earlier, in August, President Tokayev visited Turkmenistan to attend the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
During that trip, the Head of State held a meeting with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The parties discussed strengthening cooperation in the trade and economic, energy, and transit-transport sectors.
At the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid a state visit to Astana on November 24–25.
The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan held talks, discussing priority areas of bilateral cooperation. In particular, they reviewed issues related to trade and economic partnership, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, and transport and logistics interaction.
