The world’s most high altitude rope park opened at Shymbulak ski resort in Kazakhstan, head of the project Maksut Zhumayev told Tengrinews.kz. Maksut Zhumayev is a world famous Kazakhstan mountaineer who climbed all 8000m peaks without bottled oxygen. The launch of the alpine park was held on January 5-6 this year. Zhumayev said that one of the amusement park's special features is that this large-scale facility is mounted on artificial supports. “We are planning to apply for the Guinness Record, because there is no similar facilities at such an altitude (2,250 meters above the sea level) in the world. Besides, the rope park has a bungee. So, a person first experiences various emotions and loads passing the stages at the height of 6 meters above the ground, then he dives 80 meters on a bungee,” Zhumayev said. This entertainment will cost from 1,000 to 2,000 tenge ($7-13). Zhumayev’s project includes several entertainment programs, such as sledding down the mountain on tubes and walking the mountains in snowshoes. The mountaineer pointed out that the guides can take people to the glaciers. Zhumayev plans to involve Austrian experts to certify the mountain routes of Almaty oblast in line with the European standards.
