World cycling teams to take part in sprint race in Almaty on October 4

World famous cycling teams will arrive to Almaty to partake in the first sprint race in Kazakhstan on October 4, Tengrinews reports.

The Astana Motors sprint kicks off on the Republic Square at 1:00 p.m. The winner of the 2014 Tour de France captain of Astana Pro Team Vincenzo Nibali will be he main guest participant. Cyclers from Astana Pro Team (Kazakhstan), Team Katusha (Russia), Team La Pomme Marseille 13 (France), Bardiani (Italy), Rusvelo (Russia), Team Novo Nordisk (USA), Vino 4-Ever (Kazakhstan) и Kazakhstan National Team (Kazakhstan) will compete in the 500 meter short distance race.

Amateur teams can also take part in the event, after the main qualification round. Guests will have an opportunity to take photos with cyclers, get autographs and see Nibali’s bike that he rode at the Tour de France.

The organizers of the cycling show that is taking place prior the International cycling competition Tour of Almaty 2014 are World Class Almaty fitness club, Almaty Akimat (Municipal Authorities) and Astana Motors company.
