On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Civil Registry Offices, Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan presented a peculiar statistics, Tengrinews.kz reports. According to the Ministry, 6389 Kazakhstan citizens have married foreign citizens since Independence (1991). Now there are 25% more marriages than in 1990. The number of marriages in Astana has grown 50% compared to 1998. 144 357 Kazakhstan citizens got married in 2010. The greatest number of marriages took place in South Kazakhstan oblast. 21 690 marriages were registered there last year. The least actively marrying citizens are those living in the northern part of the county in North Kazakhstan oblast. Only 4492 marriages were registered there last year.
