We hope to receive a permit for this within a month,” he said. The exhibition included a auction. Eight caricatures were sold at the auctions: Murat Abenov, Vladislav Kossarev, Zhambyl Akhmetbekov, Bakhyt Syzdykova, Irak Yelekeyev, Roza Rymbayeva, Aleksandre Vinokourov and Yerlan Karin. The funds raised from the auction amounted to 29 thousand tenge ($200). Abenov’s caricature turned out the be the most expensive: it cost 9 thousand tenge ($60).
