A new 2011-2012 winter season started at Shymbulak mountain skiing resort, Tengrinews.kz reported. Preparation work has been fully completed. News, weather forecasts work schedule changes are available at the official website of the mountain resort. A one day weekend ticket for skiers with their own gear costs 6500 tenge ($44) for adults and 3500 tenge ($24) for kids (under 10 y.o.). In workdays adults’ one day ticket coats 5000 tenge ($34) and kids’ costs 2500 tenge ($17). A standard room in the hotel at the resort is available for 20 000 tenge ($135) for one day and night and a superior de luxe room for 80 000 ($540). Shymbulak’s slopes had been broadened and ski routes lengthened prior to the 7th Asian Games that were held on January 30 – February 6, 2011. The ski routes of Shymbulak are now 30 kilometers long in total. At the present time Shymbulak ski resort meets all the requirements of the World Mountain Skiing Federation.
