Kazakhstan’s model and actress Zhazira Nurkhodzhayeva won the Miss Photogenic title at the international Queen of the Universe-2013 beauty pageant that was held in Los Angeles, Tengrinews.kz reports. “I have learned about the pageant from my agent Robert Monakhan, who insisted that I should try to pass the interview. At first I refused to participate in yet another pageant, but when I learned that this organization works with the UNESCO, I changed my mind. When I was a teenager, I dreamed about working in the UN or UNESCO and that’s why this pageant was important for me,” Nurkhodzhayeva said. The pageant was held in three stages: Interview, swim suit contest and evening gown contest. Spain’s Ivette Saucedo won the Queen of the Universe-2013 title. The winner of the pageant will promote education for children in need, and for children in the third world countries. The winner will travel to the third world countries as a charity. Zhazira Nurkhodzhayeva lives in Los-Angeles where she works as a model and actress. She has been filmed in two movies: A Brief History of Women directed by Jeff McGary and She Wants Me by Rob Margolies. Nurkhodjayeva has got some experience of participation in international beauty pageants. The girl took part in the Miss Earth pageant in 2007 and won the Best Dressed Award at the Miss Asia USA pageant.
