Miss Military Kazakhstan, a beauty contest for female officers of armed forces and military departments of Kazakhstan, has finished in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports. “It is the first time we organize this contest. Selection was held in the oblasts of Kazakhstan at first. We have organized similar contests before, but decided to hold a military pageant this year. Girls from different regions of Kazakhstan and from different military departments took part in the contest. Selection criteria were pretty simple. To be eligible girls had to work for the armed forces for at least 4 months and know all the regulations and standards of her department,” Zhaksybay Boranbayev, chairman of Zhas Kyran National Center on Development of Patriotic Unions, said. 14 girls, who passed the regional selection stages, participated in the final contest. Female officers of law-enforcement agencies, road police, fire fighting departments, emergency service and radiotelephone operators of Emergency Situations Ministry were among the participants of the pageant. Every girl introduced herself in a Business card contest, answered questions during the Intellect stage and showed their talents in the Homework section of the pageant. The audience was amazed by the participants. They sang songs, recited their own lyrics, performed national dances and demonstrated combat maneuvers, knife throwing stunts and walked barefoot on broken glass. Bibigul Sauytova from Astana, sergeant of the National Guard, became the winner of the Miss Military pageant. Sandy Smagulova, sergeant of the Military Department No.68665 of the Airmobile Forces of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defense, became the first Vice-Miss. Saltanat Baizhumanova, Junior Sergeant of the National Guard was awarded with the title of the Second Vice-Miss. By Baubek Konyrov
